Cancellation/rescheduling by training provider

AED Training reserves the right to cancel and/or amend course dates, times, and content.

In such cases, every effort will be made to give as much notice as possible and to offer reasonable alternative dates and/or times.

If a satisfactory outcome cannot be reached, AED Training will refund in full any course fees already paid. No further compensation will be given.

Force Majeure

AED Training cannot be held responsible for any incident or occurrence outside its control which affects any given course date, content, timing, and/or cancellation, amendment, or rescheduling. In the event a course must be amended, cancelled, or rescheduled, AED Training will make every reasonable effort to make suitable alternative arrangements and negotiate a satisfactory outcome to both parties.

Payment Terms

Full, cleared payment due via bank transfer at least 7 working days prior to course start unless specifically agreed in writing prior to confirmation of booking.

Course Attendance

Delegates attending any First Aid course must be able to participate fully in all physical aspects of the course; adjustments can be made at the trainers discretion to accommodate learners' needs, but it should be understood that a reasonable level of fitness is required to pass a First Aid course and be able to competently carry out the role of a First Aider going forward. Sensible clothing allowing movement, comfort, and dignity is essential. It is required that delegates hold a fluent enough command of English to be able to fully understand the training, participate fully in all required elements, and satisfactorily complete written elements of their course. Of course, reasonable adjustments can be made to accommodate learners with a language barrier or other barrier to learning (including, but not limited to, dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism etc.) should the trainer deem their understanding to be of a suitable level to pass the course. It is preferable to discuss extra needs ahead of time in order that the trainer may plan for reasonable adjustments and avoid excessive disruption during a course - please do not hesitate to contact to discuss requirements.

Delegates must adhere strictly to course timings (typically 09:00 - 16:00 including two 15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch unless otherwise stated), and be fully present (i.e. not engaged in work correspondence or looking at 'phones etc.) during their course in order to receive the required level of training to pass.

Inappropriate, abusive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

The trainer reserves the right to refuse entry to latecomers should they arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of a course; trainer discretion will be employed if it is considered possible a latecomer will achieve sufficient understanding to pass the course in the remaining time, but it is generally deemed unacceptable to disrupt the learning of other delegates in accommodating latecomers. Any delegate asked to leave due to lateness or disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will not receive a certificate and no refund will be given.

Delegate Safety

AED Training, of course, take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of delegates during a course, but delegates are, at all times, required to adhere strictly to risk assessments and safe systems of work in place within their own workplace.

Onsite Training

Companies or organisations booking onsite training must ensure the room intended for use during training is large enough to accommodate all delegates (typically 10-12), with sufficient space for practical aspects of the course which include kneeling and lying on the floor en masse.

Chairs should be provided for the trainer and all delegates.

Where practicable, tables (apart from one to accommodate trainer's equipment at the front of the room) should be moved to give ample space for training, if not removed entirely.

Trainer reserves the right to refuse to carry out training where the space provided is reasonably deemed unsuitable; no refunds will be available in such cases. AED Training weather will happily consult with clients ahead of courses to mitigate this risk.

Complaints Procedure

Delegate complaints must first be directed to the trainer in the hope that the matter may be resolved immediately.

Where a complaint cannot be immediately resolved between the trainer and the delegate, or, following this, between the management of both parties an official complaint must be sent via email to: info@aedtraining.co.uk

All complaints will be taken seriously and dealt with in strictest confidence.

Certification

AED Training reserves the right to withhold certificates until full payment is cleared.

Individual delegates must attend and complete all aspects of their course in order to gain their qualification; this includes satisfactorily passing all assessments.

Delegates attending a requalification course must have gained, and be able to produce on request, a full First Aid at Work certificate within the past 3 years.

AED Training chooses to issue digital copies of certificates as a matter of course to save paper and protect the environment; the cost of digital certificates is included within the quoted price of the course. Digital certificates will be issued to individual learners via email following cleared payment. Paper copies can be requested at extra cost (£10.00 per certificate + postage fees) and are sent within 2 weeks of request unless otherwise agreed. Paper certificates required sooner will incur extra cost to cover speeding up the printing process. Paper certificates are specifically printed on recycled paper without any foiling or embellishment to limit environmental impact.

No refund can be given should a delegate fail any course; AED Training makes no guarantee as to any delegate successfully passing a course.
